I thought I would still have some English left when I moved here, but I guess it’s suffering already more than I could imagine.

Last couple of weeks I haven’t posted anything due to having my time hands full on work, some extra work and some more planning I am doing for our wedding. The location is already set and the wooden shoes are almost set, just need to buy them now. The only thing I still need to arrange for the wedding is the church, that’s the one left that needs some priority. Then comes the invitations, wedding car, flowers, “thank you” gift and the final preparation for the food and drinks to be served.

Besides this I still gotta meet up with the photographer and DJ to talk over their last details. I also still have to arrange for a videographer to tape the whole thing and turn it into a beautiful movie for us. At first I didn’t want to arrange for that, but I got persuaded by my brother’s argument: “On the day itself you don’t realize what’s going on wit you. You only see the real day when you look back at it on film.” So that videographer is still gonna come! Thanks, Bro!

Now I found this post is just gonna be a small to-do note for myself to clear my head a bit of all the things I still have to arrange. As long as I can clear my mind, I’m fine with that :)

I can say it’s been a very challenging week and a lot of new things came on my path. I’ve had my down moments, and I can honestly say they were really my own doing and for me to pick myself up again. Now it’s time for weekend and for relaxation therapy. Which basically means: WordPress development and coffee with little sister!

On the way to today I’ve gotten a new job, a new place to live and a lot of things I had to get used to again returning to Holland.
Tomorrow, on my birthday, I’m gonna start my new job and I just got in my new living place. All so exciting and new. I’m almost gonna pinch myself to see if I’m dreaming.

Just now finished the first step towards that move. I’ve been cleaning my bike that’s been gathering dust and cobwebs for the last 5 years. Fixed the light and changed the tires that were rotten and almost eating by invisible rubber bugs.
Gotta make sure now I pack the stuff I need for my new place and to get ready for a fresh new start in Amsterdam region.

From now it’s only another 4 days away when I’m returning to my good ol’ dutch country side. I’ll be seeing sad faces and happy faces all the same. I know I’m gonna leave behind a wonderful time and even more warmhearted friends. On the other side I’m going to see my dear family and friends in Holland again.

Of course there’s gonna be a lot that has to be done in the meantime I’m there, but I still hope I can get to see all of them in the short time I’m staying around my home in Brabant.

We put a ‘moving sale’ ad on thebeijinger.com website and people started calling right away. It also just so happened to be that one of my friends just started moving into a new apartment so she also took 1/3 of the stuff already.
Sometimes I notice the tensions are getting high with me and my wife of all this moving business and getting ready for the big move situation, but still… We love each other and we always forgive each other for anything said.

Not a day goes by without me thinking about the good times we’re gonna leave behind. But we also do remember the good times that will be ahead of us.

Came back from Macau and made my way to the airport already. Now waiting for boarding time. My wife and her mother have a later flight and will arrive 5 hours later in Beijing.
All in all everything went great and we had a wonderful time in both Hong Kong and Macau. Can’t wait to do it per again.

She came to china with a single entry visa and now we’re taking her to Hong Kong and her visa expired. So a quick trip to the travel agent should solve it.
